PRESCHOOL TYPICAL ROUTINE

7.30 Welcome And Early Morning Session
During this time children are welcomed by staff and are served their breakfast. Children have access to resources of their choice.
8.30-9.00 Welcome & Free Play
Our full day begins all children start to arrive and are welcomed into the 3-5's unit. The children self register their names and are invited to choose their free play activities.
Registration, Weather board, Seasons and song, colours, shapes letters and numbers
9.00-10.00 Focus Activities begin
The children are gathered together and staff engage the children with discussions about the day. The children begin their topic related activities in earnest and all are encouraged to participate. Some Children work in small groups with an adult and remaining children have the choice of activities such as role play, construction, mark making and painting, there is a host of free play activities to choose from.

10.00 Snack time
10.30-12.00 Outdoor Play
Outdoor Play or indoor soft play/ team games and competitive activities are included during this time and adults provide a focus activity in this area also.
12.00 Lunch
During our lunch time period the children enjoy a healthy range of foods, which they are encouraged to set up for themselves.
1.00 Registration
The children self register their names and are invited to choose their free play activities.
1.30 Carpet Time/Circle Time
The children are brought together and enjoy a range of activities such as stories, songs and musical instruments.
2.00 Snack time
 
2.30 Focus Activities Begin

The children begin their topic related activities in earnest and all are encouraged to participate. Some Children work in small groups with an adult and remaining children have the choice of activities such as role play, construction, mark making and painting, Shape and number recognitions, IT and topic study and a host of free play activities to choose from. Outdoor or provision is included during this time and adults provide a focus activity in this area also.
4.00 Tea Time
During this time the children are served their tea and are encouraged to serve themselves with the support of an adult. The Children have access to Free Play and self-choice activities. Outdoor provision is again accessed where the weather permits.
4.30 Carpet Time/Circle Time
 During this time the children are served their tea and are encouraged to serve themselves with the support of an adult. The Children have access to Free Play and self-choice activities. Outdoor provision is again accessed where the weather permits.
5.30 Nursery Closes
 Children are collected by parents and say goodbye for the day, collecting their precious items to take home.
5.30-6.30 Evening Session
For children who remain for our evening hour extra refreshments are available. Children also have access to a variety of resources and free play. Children are collected by parents and say goodbye until the next time!
